lesbians aren’t actually useless or clueless or whatever, we’re just scared that we’re reading the signals wrong and will end up being labeled a predatory lesbian because that’s the kind of stereotype that’s been hoisted on us, especially with girls we don’t absolutely for sure know is into girls. also our culture downplays female affection as everything but romantic in nature so of course lesbians won’t know if their female friend is genuinely interested or just being friendly and the useless lesbian stereotype is a byproduct of these things and not something that should be poked fun at all the time.
